I am filled with grief. I have tears welling up my eyes as I sit writing this piece thousands of miles away from the death bed if a dear colleague. Its going to be tough for all of you close to the whole funeral process. This should not be happening. Certainly not to our own flower girl. In the very difficult days at NUC she attracted all to look the other way. The other way that showed the brighter side of life. She accepted that life is not all about doom and gloom. So she lived by example. She laughed infectiously, her natural looks permeated every down cast soul, her choice of dress gave color to the grey life- denying surrounding, her penchant for chatting brought back other colleagues from the brink of despair... even when weak grades would have put them down. The Abie I knew was a shining path: blazing a trail.Certainly she would now do better, having being called to serve her maker directly. My friends arise and celebrate Abie's life. Those who remember her favourite lines and fun things please say it for others to understand the special qualities of our very own mokonde gift, our Freetown child and Mano wife. - Andrew Sorie
